Senior Talent, Training and Development Manager

I am on the lookout for a Senior Talent, Training and Development Manager to Ā lead and develop talent for my Swindon based client. Through recruitment, retention, performance management, learning and development, you will enable their people and organisation to succeed!

Accountabilities:

Manage Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Oversee the entire recruitment process, from job postings to interviewing candidates
  • Develop and maintain an effective onboarding programme to enhance new employee experience

Thought Leadership and Employer Branding:

  • Share best practices in Talent, Training, and Development in internal forums and through business partnershipsĀ 
  • Drive employer branding through LinkedIn and other social platforms to attract the best talent.

Performance Management:

  • Develop and manage performance appraisal systems to encourage high performance
  • Provide training and support to managers on effective performance management.
  • Develop a business partnership model to support employees within their departments.

Training and Development:

  • Develop a company training strategy to support the business’ objectives and the broader People and Culture strategy.
  • Identify specific department training needs and oversee professional development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.

Support Career Development:

  • Work with employees to create individualised development plans, driving initiatives such as mentoring, coaching, and career pathing.

Collaborate with Management:

  • Partner with department heads to align training programmes with organisational objectives and workforce planning strategies.
  • Share and drive best practices to increase employee retention and satisfaction.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate People and Culture records and generate reports on workforce analytics for strategic decision-making.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Training and Development or Talent management or a similar role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster organisational relationships.
  • Proven track record driving change within People and Culture and building new structure, framework, and policy.
  • Experience in employer branding and thought leadership around modern work and Talent, Training, and Development practices.
  • Ability to create and implement effective People and Culture strategies that align with business goals.
  • Strong IT skills (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to solve problems and make suggestions/recommendations.
