Construction Manager
Location: Aldermaston (Minimum 3-4 days on-site per week required)
Hours: 9-day fortnight pattern (Mon-Fri alternating weeks)

About the Role
We're looking for a Construction Manager to join our dynamic Project & Programme Services team and lead the safe and successful delivery of complex construction activities. This is a high-profile opportunity to work on regulated, high-hazard projects within a collaborative and progressive environment that values excellence and innovation.
As a Lead Construction Manager, you will be responsible for managing multi-disciplinary construction teams, coordinating stakeholders and suppliers, and ensuring that all on-site installation works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will also be expected to contribute to broader project strategies, drive safety-first initiatives, and uphold strong compliance with CDM and health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor project deliverables against agreed standards and stakeholder expectations
- Lead and manage H&S forums and initiatives across the construction phase
- Oversee on-site activities, logistics, and resource coordination
- Support project delivery using principles of risk, change, schedule, and quality management
- Maintain high standards of safety, design intent, and procedural compliance
- Liaise with architects, surveyors, engineers, and project stakeholders
- Participate in design reviews, programme planning, and contract scope discussions
- Mentor and support junior team members' development
- Foster effective relationships across stakeholder groups and delivery partners
What We're Looking For
- OND, HND, Degree or equivalent in construction, engineering, or related discipline
- Chartered or working toward membership with a recognised construction-related professional body
- Significant experience managing works in nuclear or similarly high-regulated, high-hazard industries
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder engagement at senior levels
- Demonstrable knowledge of health and safety legislation, CDM regulations, and construction best practices
- Skilled in site coordination, logistics management, and procedural compliance
- Experience authoring operational documentation and contributing to programme planning
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Working Pattern
You will follow a 9-day fortnight with alternating work weeks:
- Week 1: Mon-Thurs (8.25 hrs/day), Fri (8 hrs)
- Week 2: Mon-Thurs (8.25 hrs/day), Fri off
