Role: Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical Bias
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 per annum + Overtime @ 1.5x / 2x Saturday PM
Hours: Monday-Friday Day Shift
Job Type: Full time, Permanent


The Package:

The Duties:
• Develop and implement a preventative maintenance system for the site and respond to unplanned plant shutdowns and emergencies where required
• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on plant equipment
• Support plant improvement projects and upgrades
• Respond to unplanned plant shutdowns and emergencies
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams, as well as external contractors
• Travel to other sites in the West Midlands as required


The Requirements:
• Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience within heavy engineering (essential)
• Previous experience in a heavy industrial environment (essential)
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge (essential)
• Experience and understanding of mechanical maintenance of equipment including conveyors, pumps, pipes, valves, filter systems, gear boxes etc (essential)
• Basic electrical understanding surrounding fault finding and basis maintenance / repair (advantageous)
• Strong welding understanding and skillset (advantageous)
• Full UK driving licence
