Job Role: Quality Manager
Location: Tamworth

Shift: Mon - Fri
Salary: 55k - 60k (DOE)

Job Role Responsibilities:

To ensure compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental systems across the business. The Quality Manager will drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying deviations or non-conformances and implementing corrective actions promptly.

  • Review and enhance the existing quality system to align with business needs, integrating quality, health, safety, and environmental management.
  • Lead the business through accreditations such as: ISO 9001:2015/ ISO 14001 /OHSAS 18001 / SO 45001/ AS9100:D
  • Ensure employee and subcontractor awareness and adherence to the quality system at all times.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and oversee the implementation of corrective actions for any non-conformances.
  • Manage and oversee Inspection Departments, ensuring operational efficiency and professional standards.
  • Understand gear and spline manufacturing techniques; accurately measure and report critical features.
  • Develop job-specific quality plans and liaise with customers as necessary.
  • Approve and audit suppliers in accordance with the quality policy.
  • Validate that the latest controlled drawings are available and correctly issued.
  • Support operators with in-process component verifications.

The Candidate:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in gear and spline production.
  • Prior experience with ISO and other quality standards accreditations.
  • Familiarity with auditing procedures and managing quality systems.
  • Technical knowledge of inspection equipment, measurement tools, and calibration processes.
  • Demonstrates strong understanding and application of quality and safety regulations.
  • Proactive in identifying improvements and driving accountability across the organization.
