Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Water & Environment
Location: Midlands-based with UK-wide flexibility
Type: Full-time

Our client is looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support commercial management across major infrastructure projects in the water, environment, defence, and nuclear sectors. You'll assist with the full project lifecycle, from feasibility to final account, gaining hands-on experience with NEC3/4 contracts and supporting budget management, procurement, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with NEC3/4 contract administration and cost tracking

  • Support budget forecasting, payment valuations, and cost reporting

  • Help with pre-contract activities like feasibility studies and tender evaluation

  • Contribute to post-contract delivery, including variation assessments and final account preparation

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying

  • Progress toward RICS chartership or equivalent

  • Experience or interest in water, environment, defence, or nuclear sectors

  • NEC3/4 contract knowledge

  • Willingness to work on-site at least 3 days/week

  • Right to work in the UK
