This school looks after each member of staff, providing full support and development opportunities. The Headteacher is very hands-on and ensures that all that he does is in favour of the school needs and requirements.During visits and conversations with the Headteacher at the school, I have been very impressed with his passion for education and providing a lovely working environment and supportive education journey for pupils.

The school is a coeducational independent specialist day school for students aged 11-18, supporting children across the Autism spectrum with related needs. The dedicated staff collaborate to ensure successful outcomes for all students. The school takes pride in guiding children towards their aspirations and goals, fostering academic and social growth, and encouraging students to take pride in their achievements. This thriving school offers numerous challenges and diverse development opportunities, ensuring that no two days are the same!

Day-to-day of the position:

  • Be a patient, resilient and passionate teacher providing a bespoke teaching and learning experience for a small group of young people (6 pupils in total)
  • Report to the Senior Leadership team effectively, keeping track of progress and development of both academic and personal goals
  • Be open to an intense position with the ability to help young people develop their academic progress
  • Ensure to contribute successfully to achieve aims and collaborate with other members of the staffing team
  • Be enthusiastic and flexible, with determination to develop within your role

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience with Special Educational Needs or have a background in relevant role
  • Committed to student success and well-being
