HR Manager / Coordinator

Our client is seeking a dedicated HR Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working within the Finance/Administration/HR department, this role is pivotal in facilitating the hiring of employees alongside departmental managers. You will also manage employee benefits and welfare, develop training programmes, and provide management with advice on HR/employment rules and regulations.

Please be aware although titled HR Manager - you will not have a team to manage

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and the onboarding process to ensure a smooth integration of new employees.
  • Manage the employee performance appraisal system to maintain and improve employee performance.
  • Develop and manage the company training programme to enhance employee skills and support professional development.
  • Liaise with external HR advisors to ensure compliance with current regulations and laws.
  • Review and implement improvements to company HR policies and procedures to ensure they meet the needs of the organisation and comply with legal standards.
  • Manage and review employee benefits to ensure they are competitive and meet the needs of the employees.
  • Handle disciplinary processes and formal grievances, ensuring they are conducted fairly and legally.
  • Coordinate with the external payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely processing of monthly salaries.
  • Manage the company pension scheme, ensuring it meets regulatory standards and supports the financial security of employees.
  • Innovate and implement strategies to improve the employee experience within the company.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in Human Resources management.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in HR systems and comfortable with data management and reporting.
