Quality Technician

Contract role for Quality Technician / Quality Engineer to support supply chain, supplier quality and manufacturing processes with a focus on quality operations. You’ll be supporting a busy and organised quality department to ensure continued success in compliance and production output. The role is based at an established manufacturing site in a modern and developing factory. If you’re passionate about quality and thrive in a collaborative setting, this could be a great contract to take on next.

6 Month Contract - likely to extend or go perm at end of this period

Working Days Mon – Fri - 37.5 hours per week

What You Will Do:

• Support the development and implementation of quality standards across multiple countries within the supply chain.
• Conduct audits on manufacturing processes and suppliers to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Drive lessons learned and best practices within logistics, supplier performance, and manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with suppliers to verify and validate engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
• Monitor quality control activities and lead initiatives to enhance supplier performance and productivity.
• Organise and participate in continuous improvement programmes with suppliers to ensure specifications are met and exceeded.

What You Will Bring:

• Proven experience in quality operations, supplier quality engineering or a related field.
• Strong auditing skills with the ability to assess and improve manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience in manufacturing to include automotive, moulding, press work, assembly, fabrication or anything similar 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
• A proactive mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with international standards and best practices in quality and manufacturing excellence.

Current or previous roles held will include quality engineer, supplier quality engineer, SQE or quality auditor

What’s available:

• Long term contract with notice period built in
• Hourly rate of £15.50 – 18/hr PAYE
• Reputable manufacturer in the Telford area
• Good working hours with overtime available paid at very good rates
