TeachMatch are looking for dedicated and compassionate ALN Specialist Teaching Assistants to support teachers in creating a nurturing and effective learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in ALN settings, particularly those with complex special educational needs, and disabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored, engaging lessons to meet the needs of individual students.

• Provide one-on-one support and tutoring for students who have ALN

• Promote a positive learning environment by encouraging student participation and engagement.

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to share progress updates and address any concerns.

• Help maintain a safe, organised, and conducive classroom environment.

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills in mentoring and supporting children.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is essential, however, if you have experience in a support-based role within a residential setting or have a family member that you have supported with a disability or an ENC, we encourage you to apply.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.

• Experience or training in special education or working with students on the autism spectrum is highly desirable.

• A passion for supporting young learners with ALN and fostering their academic and personal growth.

• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting diverse learning needs.
