Position: Machine Setter
Location: Tewkesbury
Working hours: 39 hours per week 8.00 to 5.00 Mon-Thurs and 8.00 to 1.00 Friday with ½ hour lunch break
Type of role: permanent
Salary: £26364 to £28392 + bonus
Benefits: monthly performance bonus, 24 days of holidays + BH, paid morning tea break, 2 x salary life assurance, training, canteen, overtime is paid at 1.3 for the first 4 hours and 1.5 thereafter.
We are now seeking to recruit a machine setter to work for an engineering company based in Tewkesbury. The appropriate candidate would be responsible for setting and operating Rollomatic grinding machines.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of powered grinders/sanders to remove burs, protrusions etc. on surfaces to ensure parts meet customers’ specifications and production standards.
- Read, interpret and understand engineering drawings, standards, geometrical tolerances and surface finishes.
- To ensure all components are machined to drawings dimensions and tolerances
- Setting and Operating Rollomatic grinding machines to produce consumable medical products.
- Use cleaning stations for removal of cutting oils etc.
- Visual quality inspections.
Requirements:
- Experience using multi-axis precision grinding machines (desirable)
- Experience in programming or ability/willingness to learn.
- Manufacturing experience within a high precision industry (Essential)
- Experience using precision measuring equipment (Essential)
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines and tolerances.
