GMP Recruitment are proud to be in partnership with an engineering company who are experts in precision engineering, located in Tewkesbury. We are currently recruiting on their behalf for a Product Inspector to join their team on a full time, permanent, basis.
To be considered for this position you must demonstrate previous experience in a precision engineering environment, where manufacturing is focused on designing and producing parts with extremely tight tolerances.
This position is working Monday - Thursday 08:00am - 17:00pm with a Friday finish of 13:00pm offering an hourly rate up to 拢17 p/h pending relevant experience.
The successful candidate will be responsible for inspection of all parts produced against the design intent using a variety of inspection equipment including physical gauging, CMM, Trimos height gauge, shadowgraph, hardness testers etc. The Inspector is responsible for ensuring that product has been produced to customer specifications and that production batch quantities are maintained through effective quality control.
This position would be ideal for anyone with previous product inspection experience within an engineering setting, or an individual with machining/shop floor measurement experience, looking to move into inspection.
Parts Inspector main duties:
路 Read, interpret and understand engineering drawings, standards, geometrical tolerances and surface finishes.
路 To carry out First Off inspection for all components.
路 Conduct Stage inspections of detailed machined components as required.
路 Use measuring equipment to establish the specification of sizes, cylindricity and concentricity etc.
路 Conduct and record routine inspection on production parts using CMM, projectors, micrometers, Vernier gauges, dial gauges and more.
路 Interpret the results obtained and convey to the Production team.
路 Carrying out random patrol inspections.
路 Confident decision-making to sign off parts.
路 Carrying out inspections on time and in line with manufacturing process.
路 Working closely with Production to ensure that quantities are met.
路 Assist investigation into Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Corrective
Parts Inspection required skills and experience:
路 Experience of Mitutoyo CMM Measuring (Desirable).
路 Experience operating medium/large CMM machines.
路 Knowledge of PC-DMIS and CAD++ (Desirable).
路 Experience working within a medical/aerospace industry (Desirable).
路 Able to read and correctly interpret close tolerance engineering drawings and geometric tolerances (GDT) (Essential)
路 Experience using precision measuring equipment i.e. Mitutoyo Roundness Test, Micrometers, Vernier鈥檚, Height Gauges, Micrometers and Shadow Graphs.
路 High Level of Detection.
路 Ability to multi-task and prioritise.
路 Comfortable working to deadlines and tolerances.
