This is a rare chance to shape, scale, and lead a newly formed EV Infrastructure business unit within an established leader, investing significantly in the growth of electric mobility solutions.


THE ROLE:
We are seeking a results-driven General Manager to spearhead the development of the EV Infrastructure division from strategy to execution with a clear mandate: build a £70m+ revenue business within 5 years. This is not just about growing a business; it's about delivering real impact and building a legacy in one of the most exciting renewable sectors.

  • Drive and deliver the commercial strategy for EV infrastructure, covering packaged substations, feeder pillars, and installation/maintenance services.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team (Sales, BD, Ops, QA, Admin) and set a culture of excellence from day one.
  • Take full P&L responsibility, delivering consistent growth in revenue and margin.
  • Shape the business plan and strategic direction in collaboration with the executive team.
  • Forge strong partnerships with key players: Charge Point Operators (CPOs), Independent Connection Providers (ICPs), and EV installers.
  • Expand product and service offerings across emerging transport modes cars, buses, trucks, ferries, and beyond.

THE CANDIDATE:
Essential:

  • Proven senior leadership at G.M level or similar experience, in electrical infrastructure, EV, or adjacent industries.
  • Strong commercial acumen and full lifecycle business management (strategy to execution).
  • Demonstrated ability to scale a business and deliver revenue and margin growth.
  • Background in operational excellence and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Evidence led experience of building a strategic business plan.

Desirable:

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or above.
  • Experience working with substation or feeder pillar manufacturers.
  • Sector familiarity within related organisations
