Job Title: Transport Manager
Location: Thame
Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: 30,000 - 36,000 per annum (dependent on experience & qualifications)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am to 6pm (hours may vary depending on routing requirements)

Responsibilities:
- Manage vehicle routing for daily operations, ensuring routes are achievable and compliant with vehicle limitations.
- Ensure all pallets are appropriately labelled and allocated to the correct vehicles, addressing any issues promptly.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance and compliance with the Working Time Directive and Traffic Commissioner guidelines.
- Provide leadership and support to drivers and supervisors, acting as their primary contact for day-to-day queries.
- Ensure health and safety compliance in all transport activities, reviewing risk assessments and participating in safety briefings.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation, fostering strong relationships within the team.
Essential Skills:
- Minimum GCSE or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience in Transport/Vehicle Management or a similar field.
- Valid Transport Managers CPC and HGV driving licence.
- Counterbalance forklift licence.
- Supervisory experience in a logistics environment.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong leadership, flexibility, and the ability to work under pressure.
