Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle maintenance provider. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality repairs, diagnostics, and servicing for HGVs and trailers directly at customer locations across the M4 corridor. This role suits a skilled technician who enjoys autonomy, variety, and customer interaction.



Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing, repairs, and inspections on HGVs and trailers

  • Attend roadside breakdowns and provide swift, effective repair solutions

  • Perform diagnostics and fault finding using modern equipment and software

  • Prepare vehicles for MOT and complete associated safety checks

  • Work on brake systems, suspension, electrical components, hydraulics, and drivetrain systems

  • Maintain accurate service records and complete job sheets

  • Deliver a professional service while upholding high safety and compliance standards



Candidate Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent qualification)

  • Proven experience working on HGVs and trailers (mobile or workshop-based)

  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, including electrical and mechanical systems

  • Full UK driving licence (essential)

  • Ability to work independently with good time management

  • Reliable, professional, and safety-conscious approach
