The role:

  • This is a fantastic career opportunity for any aspiring Development Technologist looking to shape a career within a dynamic, forward thinking food manufacturer creating healthy eating initiatives and other on-trend categories.
  • You will lead and support the progression of customer and proactive concepts through launch.
  • Confidently leading pilot plant lab trials and upscaling to factory trials for both Pasta and Snack.
  • Help organise and execute the main stages of development to develop and successfully launch products on time.
  • Collaborating cross functionally with Sales, Marketing on facilitating ideation & concept and with Technical, Engineering and Production departments for a successful a scale up to factory trial and launch.

Ideal candidate:

  • Degree in Food Science or relevant science related field.
  • Understanding of the NPD Process in a food-based company with 1 - 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of Health & Safety, Food Regulations and HACCP.
  • Organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong administrative skills together with good computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
  • Good project management skills.
  • A 'can do’ attitude with a strong desire to deliver against strict targets/deadlines
  • Be organised with good analytical data skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
  • Able to multi-task and prioritise under pressure
  • Ability to build a strong relationship with operational teams
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Keen to learn and be a problem solver
  • Flexibility
  • Full Driving Licence with access to own car
