The role:
- This is a fantastic career opportunity for any aspiring Development Technologist looking to shape a career within a dynamic, forward thinking food manufacturer creating healthy eating initiatives and other on-trend categories.
- You will lead and support the progression of customer and proactive concepts through launch.
- Confidently leading pilot plant lab trials and upscaling to factory trials for both Pasta and Snack.
- Help organise and execute the main stages of development to develop and successfully launch products on time.
- Collaborating cross functionally with Sales, Marketing on facilitating ideation & concept and with Technical, Engineering and Production departments for a successful a scale up to factory trial and launch.
Ideal candidate:
- Degree in Food Science or relevant science related field.
- Understanding of the NPD Process in a food-based company with 1 - 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Understanding of Health & Safety, Food Regulations and HACCP.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail
- Strong administrative skills together with good computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
- Good project management skills.
- A 'can do’ attitude with a strong desire to deliver against strict targets/deadlines
- Be organised with good analytical data skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
- Able to multi-task and prioritise under pressure
- Ability to build a strong relationship with operational teams
- Excellent customer service skills
- Keen to learn and be a problem solver
- Flexibility
- Full Driving Licence with access to own car
