We are looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our Reading-based team. This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician seeking career development within a reputable main dealer environment. You will play a key role in maintaining HGVs to the highest standards of safety and reliability, delivering excellent service to customers.
Key Responsibilities of a HGV Mechanic:
- Perform routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance on HGVs to manufacturer standards
- Carry out diagnostics and fault finding using industry-standard tools
- Complete all work within agreed timeframes and meet required quality standards
- Follow warranty procedures and maintain accurate repair records
- Work collaboratively with the parts team to ensure timely and correct parts replacement
Requirements of a HGV Mechanic:
- Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or HGV Technician in a workshop or dealership (preferred)
- Level 3 technical qualification in HGV maintenance and repair
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Full UK Class 1 or 2 HGV Driving Licence (desirable)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
