Location: Thurleigh, Bedfordshire

Shift: Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm

Salary: £37,438 per annum

We are seeking a Stores Person to join our client’s team in Thurleigh. This is an ongoing position with one of the UK’s leading automotive companies, who have operations throughout the country.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing an automotive parts department within a main dealership, vehicle manufacturer, or motor factor setting.

The Role:

As a Stores Person, you will ensure parts are in stock and ready to be issued to technicians and the bodyshop team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring stock levels in the stores department and with suppliers/manufacturers.
  • Ordering parts from suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Updating internal systems and spreadsheets.
  • Organising and storing parts in the correct locations.
  • Communicating with suppliers and manufacturers to:
    • Chase estimated delivery times.
    • Resolve incorrect orders.
    • Handle general parts-related enquiries.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a stores/parts department.
  • Experience managing automotive parts in a main dealer, manufacturer, or motor factor environment is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to identify parts and materials required for technicians and the bodyshop team.
  • Understanding of invoices and receipting of parts.
  • Strong stock management skills.
  • Good computer and communication skills.
