Job Opportunity: Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location: Thurrock, Essex
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 15:30
Salary: 40,000 - 45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Role Overview: Our client is seeking a skilled and electrically biased tradesperson to join their team at the distribution centre in Thurrock. The role involves undertaking planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works, ranging from minor plumbing defects to cleaning AC filters and building fabric repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Manager, including fault finding, testing, repairing, and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment.
* Carry out various non-specialist building fabric maintenance tasks.
* Update completed PPM tasks on the site computerized maintenance system.
* Maintain engineering standards to maximize the operational effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.
* Adhere to company QA and site procedures in all aspects.
* Follow Company & Site Health & Safety procedures at all times.
* Maintain accurate site records/documentation for all site works.
* Inspect the condition of services and proactively address call-outs/repairs as required.
* Keep and maintain all company-issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
* Work proactively towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.

Required Skills and Experience:
* City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition IEE
* Time served apprenticeship or equivalent training
* Demonstrable knowledge of building services engineering
* Excellent customer service skills
* Smart appearance and presentable
* Logical thinker in fault-finding situations
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Comfortable working within a team environment and able to contribute to group success
* Able to work unsupervised
* Self-motivated with the ability to self-generate reactive tasks
* Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements
* Customer-focused
Desirable:
* IPAF, PASMA certifications
* Knowledge and use of computer software - Microsoft Office, Building Management Systems
