Project Accountant

West Brom | Office-based | £40,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)We’re working with a long-standing, family owned retail business based in West Bromwich who are looking to bring in a Project Accountant to join their close-knit finance team.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys getting stuck into the detail and wants to grow into a broader role over time. You’ll be reviewing current process, streamlining the transactional finance, reviewing the P&L, bank reconciliations and their systems.What you'll be doing:

  • Taking the reins of the in-house ad hoc finance projects.
  • Supporting with month-end tasks such as accruals, prepayments, and journal postings.
  • Assisting the Finance Director with ad-hoc reporting and projects as required.
What we’re looking for:
  • Previous experience in a similar finance role, where you have reviewed and implemented a new finance process.
  • A proactive attitude – someone who’s happy to take ownership of their work.
  • Great attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Fully qualified, or qualified by experience.
