Occupational Therapist

Full time permanent role (term time only)

£38,333 - £46,164 per annum (paid all year round)

Located in Tonbridge

My client are recruiting an Occupational Therapist for their Independent Specialist Day School in Tonbridge on a permanent basis.

The school is an independent specialist day school that meets the needs of a diverse group of pupils aged 8-16 who have a range of complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offering evidence based, holistic and child-centred assessments and interventions.
  • Undertake high quality assessments of children and young people and make recommendations about appropriate therapeutic interventions for each child or young person, in accordance with individual assessed needs.
  • Work closely with children, young people, their parents and staff to ensure a personalised plan of delivery.
  • To identity training needs, develop and facilitate training sessions to staff and parents/carers.
  • Attend and/or inform Post Admission Reviews, Annual Reviews and ITACs for those children on your caseload.

Requirements:

  • Be a qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC.
  • Experience of supporting teams around a child or young person to ensure they are being provided with clinically informed living and learning environments and experiences.
