38,333 - 46,164 per annum (paid all year round)

My client are recruiting an Occupational Therapist for their Independent Specialist Day School in Tonbridge on a permanent basis.

The school is an independent specialist day school that meets the needs of a diverse group of pupils aged 8-16 who have a range of complex educational needs, communication difficulties and challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

Offering evidence based, holistic and child-centred assessments and interventions.
Undertake high quality assessments of children and young people and make recommendations about appropriate therapeutic interventions for each child or young person, in accordance with individual assessed needs.
Work closely with children, young people, their parents and staff to ensure a personalised plan of delivery.
To identity training needs, develop and facilitate training sessions to staff and parents/carers.
Attend and/or inform Post Admission Reviews, Annual Reviews and ITACs for those children on your caseload.

Requirements:

Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
Experience of supporting teams around a child or young person to ensure they are being provided with clinically informed living and learning environments and experiences.
