We’re delighted to be working exclusively with our client, a successful and growing business located conveniently between Milton Keynes, Towcester, and Northampton. They are seeking to appoint an experienced Accounts Payable Manager / Accounts Receivable Manager.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a people-focused professional who thrives in a supportive, team-driven environment. You’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of both the purchase and sales ledger functions, with a strong emphasis on mentoring and developing a small, dedicated finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the Purchase and Sales Ledger processes
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
  • Monitor aged debtors and creditors, ensuring proactive resolution of issues
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external suppliers/customers
  • Lead, mentor and support a small finance team to ensure continued development and success
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensure best practice in ledger processes

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have proven experience managing both purchase and sales ledger functions, coupled with a genuine passion for supporting and developing others. You'll be a natural communicator with a hands-on approach and strong attention to detail. Confidence with accounting systems and a solid working knowledge of Excel will be important, along with a proactive, team-spirited attitude and the ability to build strong relationships across the business.

Remuneration

  • £50,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience
  • Office based Monday to Friday
  • 30 days holiday incuding Bank Holidays.
