Waste King is a specialist waste collection company with over 18 years of experience, proudly employing more than 35 local team members. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and proactiveWeighbridge, Transport & Yard Administratorto join our team.

Role Overview:

This is a key position at our Material Recycling Facility, responsible for managing the daily operations of the weighbridge. You will ensure accurate recording of vehicle movements and weights, while maintaining legal compliance and supporting the overall efficiency and safety of the site. This is a customer-facing role that requires strong communication skills and a hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the weighbridge system to accurately log inbound and outbound vehicle weights.
  • Verify waste documentation, including transfer notes and licenses.
  • Ensure all vehicles comply with site rules and health & safety policies.
  • Direct traffic flow safely and efficiently in collaboration with drivers and site operatives.
  • Maintain accurate records for auditing, invoicing, and compliance purposes.
  • Identify and report any anomalies such as overloaded vehicles or incorrect paperwork.
  • Keep the weighbridge office clean, organised, and professional.
  • Perform administrative tasks including data entry, report generation, and email correspondence.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.

Working Conditions:

The role is primarily based in the weighbridge office, with regular exposure to outdoor conditions and vehicle traffic. PPE must be worn at all times on site.
