We're hiring a skilled Electrician to join the Estates department for one of our NHS clients based in Cornwall areas. As an Electrical Craftsman, you'll maintain and repair electrical systems in the hospital and associated buildings, directly supporting patient care. The role is working 37 hours per week at 19.64 per hour with overtime available with inflated rates. The role is for a period of 3 month with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical plant and services.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in electrical installations and equipment.
  • Conduct fault finding on electric motors and control gear.
  • Ensure safe operation of fire alarm systems and respond to fire calls.
  • Reset lift control systems and carry out minor mechanical work.
  • Follow instructions, drawings, and specifications independently.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry techniques and attend training courses.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and trust policies.

Requirements:

  • Recognized electrical engineering apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in fault finding, installation, and maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of lift control systems and 415V systems.
  • Familiarity with healthcare/NHS environment is desirable.
