£55,000- £68,000 doe 

We have an exciting opportunity for a experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who ideally will come from a Civils/Groundworks background, to join a very successful sub contractor based in Mid Cornwall. 

Our reputable client works with a number of housing developers and contractors across the region, and with many long-standing relationships. They have an excellent project pipeline and the role comes with a very competitive salary as well as room for progression amongst other fantastic company benefits. My client has a market-leading presence in Devon, Cornwall & Somerset.

Duties will include:

Review contract documentation and drawing issues to ensure all parties hold the correct information

Produce a monthly application for payment to the client in line with the client’s calculation schedule

Produce valuation matrixes and daywork schedules

Verify accurate payments for sub-contractors

Be aware of all costs relating to project spend

Manage cost changes as a result of new drawings

Liaise with the client to evaluate daywork before an order is raised

Ensure all works are carried out in line with detailed procedures to achieve ISO/SMAS/CHAS/Achillies certification

Requirements:

Extensive experience within the construction industry

Preferably from a groundworks or civil engineering background

Ideally degree-qualified (or similar)
