A Fantastic Opening for an Experienced Legal Secretary to Join a Leading Private Client Team in Tunbridge Wells The Role:A fresh position has arisen for a meticulous and proactive Legal Secretary to support a thriving team specialising in Wills, Trusts, and Tax Planning. This role offers an exciting chance to contribute meaningfully within a dynamic and growing department.Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering top-tier administrative and secretarial assistance to the Private Client division focused on estate and tax matters.
  • Utilising BigHand for digital dictation, drafting, and typing legal documentation.
  • Handling the creation and closure of client matters, along with the completion and submission of legal forms (e.g., Lasting Powers of Attorney).
  • Coordinating diaries, arranging meetings, and maintaining consistent and professional communication with clients.
  • Carrying out tasks with a high level of discretion and attention to accuracy.
About You:
  • Previous experience in a Private Client legal setting is essential—knowledge of Wills, Trusts, or Tax law is highly desirable.
  • Friendly, empathetic, and able to handle delicate and potentially emotional matters with care.
  • Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Clear communicator, both written and verbal, with confidence liaising with clients and professionals.
  • Comfortable with hybrid working—initially fully office-based for six weeks, then two days from home per week.
The Package:
  • Salary: £25,000 to £27,000, depending on experience, with performance-related bonuses available.
  • Working Hours: 9:15am – 5:30pm
  • Holiday Allowance: 27 days annual leave
