We're partnering with a leading primary school in Tylorstown to find a dedicated and proactive Primary School Teaching Assistant to support the Foundation Phase. This full-time, long-term position is perfect for enthusiastic individuals eager to contribute to an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general classroom support to foundation pupils, helping to foster a positive and engaging learning environment
- Work closely with the Class Teacher to implement lesson plans and activities that meet the diverse needs of young learners
- Support individual and small groups of pupils to enhance understanding and engagement
- Assist with behaviour management and promoting positive social interactions among pupils
- Help create an inclusive atmosphere that encourages confidence, teamwork, and respect
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Prior experience working with primary-aged children, especially in the Foundation Phase (years EYFS/Reception and Key Stage 1)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff
- Passionate about early childhood education and development
- Adaptable, patient, and proactive in supporting varied learning needs
- Able to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, with a commitment to a full-term role
