Site Engineer – Drainage | Balfour Beatty
Location: Warwickshire, CV47 2GR
Contract: 6 Months
Start: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional weekends)

About the Project

Balfour Beatty Vinci is delivering a high-value infrastructure scheme as part of a nationally significant project. This multi-million-pound development offers an excellent opportunity for experienced Site Engineers to work in a hands-on, high-performing environment with strong potential for contract extension.

You’ll join a dedicated drainage team focused on complex civils packages, including track drainage, road drainage, highways and landscaping drainage.

The Role

We are seeking a Site Engineer with relevant experience in drainage installation to join the team. The ideal candidate will support the planning, execution, and completion of drainage and associated works across the site.

This is a dynamic onsite role that requires strong surveying skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within an experienced engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set out and oversee drainage works using GPS and total station equipment
     

  • Assist with daily site planning and manage site diaries
     

  • Monitor site progress and ensure adherence to technical drawings and specifications
     

  • Conduct inspections and support quality assurance processes
     

  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
     

  • Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, issues, and material usage
     

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies on site

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects
     

  • Experience working on drainage, highways, or roadworks projects
     

  • Confident with surveying and setting out using GPS and total station
     

  • Good understanding of construction tolerances and materials
     

  • Full UK driver’s licence
     

  • Valid CSCS card

Desirable

  • SMSTS or SSSTS
     

  • HNC/HND/BEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent
     

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools
