DK Recruitment are partnering with a Devon-based client in their search for a hands-on and detail-oriented Finance Manager. This role is essential in ensuring accurate financial control across multiple ongoing projects, managing day-to-day financial operations, and providing strategic insight to support business growth.Key Responsibilities
  • Leading all core finance functions including budgeting, forecasting and reporting
  • Managing project costs, reviewing performance data, and ensuring profitability is always in focus
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations across accounts payable and receivable, payroll and cash flow
  • Working closely with operational teams to ensure costs are captured accurately and on time
  • Producing clear, actionable monthly management accounts for senior leadership
  • Supporting year-end processes and managing relationships with external auditors
  • Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting tools
  • Playing a key role in evolving the finance function as the business grows
Requirements
  • A solid track record in a hands-on finance role where you’ve managed the full range of finance responsibilities
  • Experience working closely with operational teams and influencing commercial decisions
  • Comfortable with project or cost-based accounting
  • AAT qualified or working towards ACCA, CIMA, or similar (or qualified by experience)
  • Excellent Excel skills and confidence with accounting software
  • Organised, adaptable and able to prioritise what matters most
