Our client is seeking an Executive and Governance Officer to lead on administrative functions and processes within their school. This role involves managing the MIS processes, overseeing SEND processes, and providing high-level secretarial and administrative support to the Principal and Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will also support the school's Governing Body and contribute to strategic planning and evaluation of administrative functions.

To work 41 weeks a year - 40 hours a week.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Organise and prepare for meetings involving the Principal, Senior Leadership Team, and other staff, ensuring all necessary paperwork is ready and actions are completed.
  • Serve as a confidential liaison between the Principal and internal/external stakeholders, managing communications effectively.
  • Oversee the administration of SEND processes, including attending EHCP Annual Review meetings and maintaining accurate records.
  • Coordinate the administration support service for the school's Governing Body, including scheduling meetings, setting agendas, and ensuring compliance with governance standards.
  • Manage the school's MIS system, ensuring accurate maintenance of student data, and support the Principal in creating the school timetable.
  • Provide comprehensive clerical support to the Governing Body, ensuring all governance documents and training are up-to-date.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in an administrative role within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of MIS processes and data management.
  • Experience with SEND administration and familiarity with EHCP processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
