Mechanical Inspector Responsibilities
  • Carry out dimensional and visual inspections on aerospace components
  • Use hand measuring tools including micrometres, verniers, and height gauges
  • Read and interpret technical engineering drawings and GD&T symbols
  • Log inspection results and track parts using SAP
  • Support 5S initiatives and continuous improvement
  • Maintain inspection equipment and complete calibration checks
  • Handle materials in line with internal quality and safety standards
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven mechanical inspection experience within aerospace, defence or similar precision industries
  • Confident using handheld inspection tools to tight tolerances
  • Familiarity with GD&T and ability to interpret complex drawings
  • PC literate, ideally with experience using SAP or similar MRP systems
  • Experience with CMM inspection or AS9102 FAIR documentation is a bonus
  • A methodical team player who takes ownership and works to high standards
