Service OfficerHillingdonPart Time – 18 HoursTemporary We are currently recruiting for a part-time Service Officer to join a Housing Association in Hillingdon, delivering front-line support to residents in sheltered accommodation. THE ROLEThe Service Officer will provide on-site housing management and resident support at a sheltered housing scheme, helping to ensure tenant wellbeing, safety, and tenancy sustainment.Key responsibilities include:
  • Carrying out viewings and tenancy sign-ups
  • Day-to-day tenancy management and maintaining accurate tenant records
  • Offering signposting and referral support to external agencies
  • Conducting weekly health and safety inspections and welfare checks
  • Making safeguarding referrals and reporting incidents and near misses
  • Supporting tenants with basic benefit and income advice
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to maintain site standards
THE CANDIDATEThe ideal candidate will have previous experience in a housing-related role, particularly in a supported or sheltered housing environment.Essential experience and skills include:
  • Understanding of tenancy management and housing management systems
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults or older people
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and incident reporting
  • Familiarity with basic health and safety checks in residential schemes
  • Ability to liaise effectively with external agencies and support networks
THE CONTRACTWorking Hours: Part time, 18 hours per week, across 3 x 6 hour daysLength of Contract: 3 Month Contract, Temp with potential for extensionRate: The pay for the role is £19.00 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £16.30 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.
