  • Promoting and enforcing a strong health and safety culture at all times
  • Ensuring working areas are safe, tidy, and compliant with project standards
  • Liaising with other contractors to clarify scope and prevent overlap or conflict
  • Checking all tools and equipment are inspected and certified before use
  • Leading on installation tasks including:
    • Pulling, dressing, and terminating CAT6, voice, and fibre cabling
    • Installing containment systems (tray, basket, conduit)
    • Terminating and testing panels, outlets, and fibre using Fluke DSX and OTDR
    • Splicing multicore fibre (Fujikura 60s/70s experience preferred)
    • Performing patching, fault finding, and verification testing
  • Identifying and escalating H&S or implementation risks in a timely manner
  • Conducting on-site surveys and compiling survey documentation

Experience Required

  • A strong background in structured cabling - including CAT6, network cabling, fibre optics, and CCTV cabling - with hands-on experience of testing, terminations, and containment systems
  • Proven experience supervising IT or communications infrastructure projects in complex, live environments (aviation or rail preferred)
  • A proactive, organised, and safety-led mindset with strong communication skills
  • SSSTS certification (mandatory)
  • Flexibility to work day or night shifts as required

Preferred (but not essential): PASMA, IPAF, Working at Height, Confined Space, and Asbestos Awareness. Additional training will be provided where required.
