Are you an experienced Credit Controller with a flair for building strong client relationships and maintaining healthy ledgers? We're working with a well-established organisation based in Wakefield who are looking to bring on board a skilled Temporary Credit Controller to support their busy finance team during a key period.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Proactively contacting clients via phone and email to chase outstanding payments
  • Processing card payments and documenting collection activity accurately
  • Handling credit notes, write-offs, and refund requests
  • Setting and reviewing credit limits in line with company policy
  • Encouraging the uptake of direct debit and electronic invoicing
  • Achieving and exceeding monthly cash collection KPIs

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a credit control
  • A professional, friendly telephone manner and the ability to handle high-volume calls
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A positive team player mindset with the confidence to work independently
  • Excellent written communication and negotiation skills
