We're recruiting a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant in Wakefield (WF2). This long-term opportunity requires availability Monday to Friday, 8:45am-3:15pm, with a focus on supporting students with high and complex needs in a nurturing, specialist provision.

Role Duties:

  • Delivering structured support under the direction of teaching staff

  • Supporting access to learning for pupils with EHCPs

  • Assisting with mobility and personal care (training preferred)

  • Promoting inclusive practices and managing sensory needs

  • Keeping clear communication with staff and families

  • Helping pupils self-regulate and engage positively

Essential Skills:

  • Significant experience in specialist SEND settings

  • Moving and handling training is ideal

  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and behaviour support

  • Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply through Randstad)
