We're recruiting a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant in Wakefield (WF2). This long-term opportunity requires availability Monday to Friday, 8:45am-3:15pm, with a focus on supporting students with high and complex needs in a nurturing, specialist provision.
Role Duties:

Delivering structured support under the direction of teaching staff
-
Supporting access to learning for pupils with EHCPs
-
Assisting with mobility and personal care (training preferred)

Promoting inclusive practices and managing sensory needs
-
Keeping clear communication with staff and families
-
Helping pupils self-regulate and engage positively
Essential Skills:
-
Significant experience in specialist SEND settings
-
Moving and handling training is ideal
-
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities
-
Strong understanding of safeguarding and behaviour support
-
Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply through Randstad)
