Location: Wakefield
Shift: Saturday - Tuesday / Sunday Tuesday (19:00 - 07:00)
Salary: 40,000 - 45,000

About the Role:

As a Nights Transport Shift Manager, you will be at the heart of operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of nightly transport activities. You will oversee a dedicated team, manage complex logistics, and ensure timely delivery of goods to valued clients. This is a pivotal role that requires strong leadership, impeccable organisational skills, and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the night shift transport operations team to achieve operational excellence.
• Ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Monitor and optimise transport routes and schedules.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety compliance.
• Liaise with clients, drivers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and exceptional service.
• Manage and resolve any transport issues or emergencies that arise during the night.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain environment (Ideally as a Nights Transport Shift Manager)
• International CPC - Desirable
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of transport regulations and compliance.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational demands.
