Elevation Recruitment Group are working with leading FMCG business based in Wakefield to recruit a Mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer.

Salary: £39,182.21 per annum + Shift allowance  - £44,768.10

Shifts: Rotating

  • 0545 - 1400 - Monday - Friday
  • 1345 - 2200 - Monday - Friday
  • 45 - 0600 - Monday - Friday 0600 - 1330
  • Sunday 1 in 3

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the Planned Preventative Maintenance, system breakdowns, defect repair and general upkeep of the facilities.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer include:

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance

Skills and Qualifications of the Maintenance Engineer

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Time served apprenticeship
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
