We are currently partnering with a not-for-profit organisation based in Wakefield, who are recruiting for a Payroll Officer to join their team on a temporary basis with an initial contract length of 3 months.This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of £19.92 via an umbrella company. The role is due to start ASAP and hybrid working is available.Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Processing two monthly payrolls, one covering 3,000 employees, another covering 1,000
  • Inputting variable e.g. add hours, sleep-ins and on-calls
  • Calculating sickness deductions/payments, backdated pat, cost splits, incremental rises, changes in hours leaver payments and all other variable data relating to pay
  • Processing and checking of all starter and leaver information
  • Calculating and monitoring all statutory payments and ensuring current legislation is adhered to
  • Administering company’s benefits
  • Producing and distributing twice monthly payroll reports to relevant staff and dealing with all queries

Experience required:

  • Two years of payroll experience is desired

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours
  • Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
