Our client, a growing accountancy practice established in 2012, welcomes around 10 new clients monthly. They serve a wide range of industries including media and entertainment, with a focus on FRS 102 and some FRS 105 clients. With 19 staff across the business and a 6-person accounts team, the firm offers a modern, progressive environment with real scope for development.

Due to expansion, an Accounts Assistant is required to join the accounts team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone studying ACCA or part-qualified, looking to develop their skills in a hands-on, client-focused role. You'll support in preparing small company accounts, trial balances, and non-complex tax returns, reporting to the Accounts Manager and working closely with Directors.

Accounts Assistant Job Requirements
  • Part-qualified or studying towards ACCA or QBE
  • Experience in preparing limited company accounts and trial balances
  • Exposure to corporation and personal tax returns
  • Organised, diligent, and able to work independently or within a team
  • Excellent communication and initiative
  • Able to manage workload and prioritise under pressure
  • Experience with accounting software such as Xero, VT. TaxCalc and Microsoft Excel desirable
Accounts Assistant Salary & Benefits
  • Salary Package: £26,000- £32,000
  • Working Hours: Monday - Thursday: 9:00am - 5:00pm and Friday: 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Study Support: Full support available for ACCA
  • Holiday: 20 days + bank holidays
  • Hybrid Working: 4 days in the office, 1 day from home after first month
  • Dress Code: Smart casual
