Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to thrive in an inclusive, nurturing environment? We are seeking dedicated and qualified SEN Teaching Assistants to join our supportive and forward-thinking team.

About the Role:As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH. Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists, you will help deliver personalised support and interventions to ensure every child can access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual learning needs

  • Assist with planning and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment

  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour

  • Liaise with parents, staff, and professionals to ensure consistent support

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (in a school or similar setting)

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent)

  • A caring, patient, and proactive attitude

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A clear enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
