The business is well funded with ambitious growth plans which has created an opportunity for a Finance Manager to work closely with the CFO in what will effectively be the No.2 role in finance.The role would suit a Qualified finance professional (ACA / ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA) who has progressed their career within a management accounting environment and is seeking a step up in responsibility or a Qualified Accountant from practice seeking a move into industry who has experience of Accounts Preparation, Management Accounts, VAT, etc. / has been seconded to a client and therefore has industry experience …..rather than straight from Audit / Tax.Whilst predominately responsible for Management Accounting and Financial Reporting the role is broader in the sense that there is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in other areas including Commercial Analysis and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).We are seeking someone who is comfortable working within an SME business where the nature of the work is broad in its nature, ranging from reconciliations, journals and month-end to budgeting, forecasting and working with Auditors at Year-End.Responsibilities include:* Management and development of a small finance team circa 5.* Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments and other journals as required.* Review all acting entries ensuring corrections are made and costs correctly posted.* Assist with Budgets and Forecasts.
