Workshop Assistant

Contek Recruitment are currently working with a precision engineering client, based inWare, Herts. They are currently going through a growth periodand are now looking for aWorkshop Assistantto join their team on apermanentbasis.

Our client specialise in the manufacture and supply for specialist manufacturing sectors.

Working Hours:Mon-Fri 8:00-4:30pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Helping out around the workshop, assisting machinists with anything that they need.
• Basic assembly of metal components.
• Deburring and polishing of metal parts.
• Emptying swarf containers.
• Keeping the workshop in a clean and tidy state.
• Driving including delivery/collections of items (within a 3hr round trip of Luton).
  

Requirements:

• Previous experience working within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Previous experience working with metal parts is preferred.
• Ability to commute to Ware.
• Hold a valid driving licence.
