We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Finance Assistant to support our clients finance and payroll functions on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone with experience in Xero and Sage Payroll who is seeking flexible working arrangements.
2 days a week / 16 hours
Warrington based
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer and supplier queries via phone and email
- Monitor the accounts inbox and maintain accurate filing systems
- Process, authorise, and load invoices onto Xero
- Reconcile supplier statements, bank accounts, credit cards, and petty cash
- Prepare and process payment runs, including remittances and subcontractor payments
- Raise sales invoices and applications as required
- Complete weekly and monthly payroll using Sage Payroll, including PAYE, NI, pensions, and HMRC submissions
- Handle payroll documentation: payslips, P32s, P60s, tax code updates, and year-end processing
- Post payroll journals in Xero and reconcile remittances
