Office or site attendance at Lingley Mere, Warrington is expected a minimum 3 days per a week.

The role

As a Project Information Management (PIM) Lead, you will oversee the development, implementation, and governance of the Project Information Management strategy across CEC. You will ensure that the management of information associated with the design, engineering, and construction of assets (including project data, documents, and digital workflows) is structured, accessible, and aligned with Organisation Information Requirements and the requirements of AMP8 partners.

Key accountabilities

Strategic Leadership and Governance

  • Set and implement the Project Information Management (PIM) Strategy, manage the interfaces between Project Information Management and key stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for defining the policies, processes, supplier standards (S13), systems and control of data relation to Project Information managed by Commercial, Engineering and Capital Delivery (CEC), ensuring effective adoption and compliance.
  • To lead and develop the PIM function. Train and develop the capability to meet the needs of the business and associated resource planning, recruitment and utilisation.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives related to information management.

Project Information Management and Technology

  • Oversee the implementation, optimisation and alignment of PIM systems and Common Data Environments (CDE) across CEC and the supply chain.
  • Ensure effective data structuring, classification, and accessibility for project teams.
  • Work closely with IT and project teams to enhance digital workflows and automation.
  • Manage the integration of PIM tools with other enterprise systems.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for PIM across departments, ensuring seamless coordination.
  • Train and support project teams (UU staff and supply chain). Ensuring the appropriate training plans are in place with respect to all project information management processes, systems and best practice.
  • Responsible for identifying and escalating any project information management issues to the Head of PMO. Where required report to senior leadership team on key matters relating to PIM
  • Lead a PIM academy (working group) across the whole supply chain to ensure that the PIM strategy and S13 requirements are deployed consistently and are compliant.

Data Integrity, Security & Quality Control

  • Ensure data accuracy, security, and accessibility across all projects and implements data retention policies.
  • Responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of compliant statutory information from capital projects to the operational business.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments related to project data management and ensure appropriate controls are in place.
  • Responsible for identifying all health and safety, regulatory and statutory asset configuration changes, process changes or system changes.
  • Monitor and evaluate PIM performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Skills & experience

To be successful with your application, you’ll need to show that you meet the followingessentialcriteria:

  • Experience in Project Information Management, with a strong understanding of methodology for Project Information Management based on industry best practise.
  • Good awareness of Building Information Management and Asset Information practises.
  • Experience of setting up and managing Common Data Environments (including ProjectWise platform or equivalent) and digital workflows with proven experience in driving digital transformation.
  • Leadership experience in managing teams.
  • Stakeholder management, communication and engagement skills to build and manage relationships at all levels within the organisation and within the extended supply chain.
  • Ability to present technical information/results/findings in a way in which makes sense to the business.
