An established civil engineering contractor is seeking a proactive and hands-on Health & Safety Advisor to join their team. This role will support the Health & Safety Director in delivering high standards of safety across multiple sites and projects. It's an excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety professional with solid civils experience to take on a varied and impactful position.

Key ResponsibilitiesConduct site audits and inspections across active civil engineering projects.Deliver training and toolbox talks to site teams, promoting safe working practices.Assist in the development and review of risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.Support the implementation and monitoring of Health & Safety policies and procedures.Investigate incidents and near-misses, producing reports and recommending corrective actions.Liaise with site managers, contractors, and operatives to ensure compliance with legislation and company standards.Provide day-to-day support to the Health & Safety Director and contribute to wider safety initiatives.RequirementsNEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation within the civil engineering sector.Experience conducting audits, delivering training, and supporting site-based teams.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across sites.BenefitsCompetitive salary of £48,000Car allowanceOpportunity to work closely with senior leadershipCareer development within a growing business
