Job Title: Principal EC&I Engineer - Nuclear Industry
Location: Hybrid - 3 days on-site at client hubs (Warrington, Bristol, Glasgow, or Leicester), 2 days remote

Rate: 70-80 per hour (DOE)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer to join a leading client in the nuclear sector. This is a high-profile role offering the opportunity to contribute to critical projects within the nuclear and defence industries.
As a Principal EC&I Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of complex EC&I systems, ensuring compliance with nuclear industry standards and client specifications. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver EC&I design projects across nuclear and defence applications.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
Ensure all designs meet relevant nuclear standards, safety requirements, and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to define and implement EC&I solutions.
Mentor and support junior engineers, promoting best practices in EC&I design.
Essential Requirements:
Degree-qualified in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation or related engineering discipline.
Chartered Engineer status preferred.
Proven design experience in EC&I systems within the nuclear or defence sectors.
Strong understanding of nuclear industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work 3 days per week on-site at one of the client hubs (Warrington, Bristol, Glasgow, or Leicester) and 2 days remotely.
