About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer to join a leading client in the nuclear sector. This is a high-profile role offering the opportunity to contribute to critical projects within the nuclear and defence industries.
As a Principal EC&I Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of complex EC&I systems, ensuring compliance with nuclear industry standards and client specifications. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and deliver EC&I design projects across nuclear and defence applications.

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.

  • Ensure all designs meet relevant nuclear standards, safety requirements, and regulatory compliance.

  • Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to define and implement EC&I solutions.

  • Mentor and support junior engineers, promoting best practices in EC&I design.


Essential Requirements:


  • Degree-qualified in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation or related engineering discipline.

  • Chartered Engineer status preferred.

  • Proven design experience in EC&I systems within the nuclear or defence sectors.

  • Strong understanding of nuclear industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work 3 days per week on-site at one of the client hubs (Warrington, Bristol, Glasgow, or Leicester) and 2 days remotely.
