My client is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist to facilitate and manage procurement operations. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of managing procurement projects which includes strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management. You will have experience of NEC contracts

Description

You will manage key procurement projects across multi-sites; this include sourcing and supplier relationship management.

  • Accountable for managing and leading a procurement team, driving performance to deliver tangible and recognised value.
  • Managing the tender process and the evaluation of all major equipment service providers
  • Lead Cross Functional Team to ensure procurement deliverable are met in line with cost, quality and programme requirements throughout.
  • Leading the development and execution of (project) procurement strategies.
  • Plan, develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure optimal value.
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.. Able to run supplier review meetings with stakeholders and suppliers to review performance;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
  • Manage risk within the supply chain and develop contingency plans.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement and supply chain performance.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems.

Profile

A successful 'Senior Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist' should have:

  • A strong track record in project management including end to end procurement's- contract and SRM.
  • A degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • You must have a good understanding of cost models/business models particularly in relation to the NEC models, familiarity with accounting practices, commercial audits, forecasting and valuations and supplier costing models.
  • Experience and development and implementation of NEC3 or 4 contracting model is essential
  • Proactively ensures contract compliance exists and proposes and monitors correction plans to ensure any non-compliance is eliminated.
  • Package Management experience of 'cradle to grave' Supply Chain Management would be advantageous.
  • Strong negotiating and strategic planning skills.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
