Our client, a leader in delivering innovative solutions within the construction and infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist. This permanent position plays a pivotal role in driving strategic procurement and supply chain initiatives, ensuring alignment with business growth and sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will have a strategic impact on procurement and supply chain processes, contributing to the overarching goals of the organisation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving commercial and added value benefits through the negotiation of best value Group Frameworks and Agreements aligned with the Group Supply Chain Strategy.
  • Managing strategic relationships with key supply chain partners, significantly improving quality and service levels.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative/statutory requirements for products procured via Group Frameworks.
  • Developing and executing contracts with key supply chain partners identified as best value.
  • Policing frameworks at a strategic level to ensure adherence and appropriate handling of slippage.
  • Maximising and recovering identified direct and third-party rebate opportunities with all business unit teams.
  • Developing and aligning the Sub-Contractor Database with third-party data sources for risk management and improvement opportunities.
  • Leading on strategic supply chain engagement through various mediums, including social media, events, and conferences.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in Procurement & Supply Chain roles, preferably within the construction sector.
  • Relevant construction and/or business-related qualifications (e.g., NVQ, BSc, BA, MSc).
  • Membership in CIPS (MCIPS).
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in Excel, PowerBi, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong ability to handle and analyse large volumes of data quickly and accurately.
  • Capability to utilise data to identify risks and opportunities and to support decisions and business improvements.
