Are you a Component Engineer with experience in suspension - mechanical and /or hydraulics, seeking a new challenge? Do you have passion for future vehicle development?

If so, Expleo have an opportunity for you! One of the world's largest automotive manufacturers, is currently recruiting for a Component Engineer, to help them develop unique and innovative automotive products. As a Component Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and release of suspension mechanical and hydraulic components. Based in Warwickshire, you will be supporting, a dedicated and enthusiastic team of Engineers, on a contract basis.

Responsibilities of the Component Engineer include:

* Collaborating with internal stakeholders to collate and agree on requirements.
* Negotiating design requirements with potential suppliers.
* Coordinating development activities with suppliers to finalise product specifications.
* Working with Procurement to manage supplier selection processes.
* Managing suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality products that meet cost and attribute targets.
* Delivering Gateway requirements for components within the specified process.

Qualifications and skills required for the Component Engineer position:

* Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent industry experience.
* Experience working with automotive suppliers for mechanical and/or hydraulic components.
* Proven experience in component development and design verification planning and management.
* Familiarity with on-cycle product and programme delivery processes.
* Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
* Knowledge of hydraulics principles and underlying physics and experience using Matlab for data analysis is desirable
