Job Title: Executive Assistant to DirectorLocation: Shire Hall, WarwickSalary: £15.58-£16.93phContract: Temporary ongoingHours: Full time, 37 hours per weekAbout the Role:We are looking for a highly organised, proactive, and diplomatic Executive Assistant to provide exceptional support to the Director of Service within the Communities Directorate at Warwickshire County Council. This is a critical role at the heart of our leadership team, enabling the Director to focus where they add the most value while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing Executive Support Team and contribute to the excellence of public service delivery.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all diary management, correspondence, enquiries, and travel arrangements for the Director.
  • Act as the first point of contact, managing internal and external communications with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Organise and support meetings and events, including room bookings, agenda preparation, minute-taking, and action tracking.
  • Draft high-quality documentation including reports, briefings, and presentations.
  • Maintain electronic filing systems, logs, and finance systems with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Anticipate needs, forward plan, and resolve issues independently using sound judgement and initiative.
  • Provide reliable support to the Executive Support Team during absences.
  • Build and sustain effective working relationships across all levels, including Councillors, officers, and external partners.
About You:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with diplomacy and tact.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Confidence in using digital tools and systems at a high level of speed and precision.
  • A proactive mindset, resilience under pressure, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a close-knit team.
